You bought the AP seat. What is the second seat under Standard?

6 min read

Which seat first is for owners choosing AP vs support. This post is for owners who already closed an AP seat (3PL invoices, construction pay apps, ecommerce vendor bills, agency vendor inbox) and still have a support firehose. Standard on the live pricing page covers up to 2 FTE roles. The second seat is how you use that without jumping to Complex on day one.

The door is still the calculator.

The pattern, named plainly

First seat = the measurable money queue (AP). Second seat = the exception / status / follow-up queue that made the AP person slow:

Those pairs already have dedicated posts. This article is the decision rule, not another vertical clone.

Why owners stall after seat one

AP feels "done" when invoices clear. The support queue was never in scope, so a human still owns it — often the same person Standard was meant to free. Owners then either (a) hire again or (b) assume they need Enterprise. Usually they need the second FTE slot already inside Standard.

The owner math (illustrative, labeled)

Live Standard: Talk to us for current pricing, 1–2 AI agents / up to 2 FTE roles. Target go-live: about 30 days from kickoff. Your timeline is set in your SOW.

Live Complex: Talk to us, 2–3 agents / 3 FTE — when systems and seats truly need three roles, not two.

Illustrative (not a client result): if seat one is AP and seat two is the matching support queue above, stay on Standard until a third distinct role appears. Run both wages in the calculator before upgrading.

Who this is for

20–80 owner-operated shops that already have (or are closing) a first AP seat and still pay for a support coordinator. Not CPA firms. For industry detail, start from the AP or support post for your vertical.

Next step

Calculate both seats. If two roles fit Standard, that is the close. Talk to us for current pricing.
